Vocational Education & Training
Students have the opportunity at Sandringham College to combine nationally accredited Vocational Education and Training (VET) with their VCE & VCAL studies.
Years 10-12 (VET)
Sandringham College has vast experience in providing access to a wide range of these Vocational Courses. The numbers of students who have attained TAFE certificates as well as their VCE or VCAL has always been a very high proportion of the students attending our 10-12 campus. Completion of a VET unit can complement and contribute to a VCE study score for students studying an Academic Pathway.
Sandringham College students completed units in almost 40 different nationally accredited certificates last year – either on campus, off campus or as part of School Based Apprenticeships – ranging from Acting to Automotive, Building to Hospitality, Technical Production to Visual Arts – and in almost every industry area in between.
The programs offered off-campus are limitless and we recommend students explore the websites of these institutions to find the course that interests them. There are also several other Institutes offering VETis (Vocational Education & Training in Schools) programs which you may explore.
For further information regarding VET please contact the VET Coordinator about enrolment in a VETis (VET in Schools) program or visit the VCAA website where VET is explained in further detail.
