Parents have the option of purchasing or renting their own instrument privately or by renting one through the school at a cost of $130 per year. We will do our best to offer a rental instrument but cannot guarantee there will be one available. We cannot rent out percussion instruments. Please take this into consideration when applying for a scholarship position. (Please wait until you have received a scholarship offer before purchasing or hiring an instrument)

To be eligible for a music scholarship in 2022, students must:
• Enrol in Year 7 at Sandringham College
• Pass the music aptitude test (No prior music knowledge necessary)
• Commit to learning music for a minimum of 2 years (end of 2023)
• Commit to weekly music lesson attendance and ensemble attendance
